SPRING FISHING IS NEAR
It's starting to feel a lot like spring in southwest Florida. With
temperatures daily reaching into the mid eighties the water is warming
and fish are hungry. Bait fish are showing up on the inshore grass flats
after vacating our area for the winter cold. For the past few months we
targeted sheepsheads and other species with live shrimp as our primary
bait. If the weather allowed, we often fish nearshore reefs in the gulf
with good success and other days we stayed inshore.
As we transition into spring we will have plenty of great fishing opportunities both in nearshore gulf waters and throughout our inshore waters of Matlacha Pass, Charlotte Harbor, and Pine Island Sound.
Thanks for taking the time to visit our site and we hope to see you on the water.
